🛏️ Stuck in the Middle

Sometimes it feels like being neutral puts you in the crossfire.

Many people feel a strong pull toward political identity—they want their friends and loved ones to take a stand. And yet, for some of us, the stand we take looks more like a bridge than a banner.

I often find myself “stuck in the middle.” My Democratic friends wonder why I don’t speak out more loudly against Republicans. My Republican friends ask why I don’t challenge Democratic viewpoints more forcefully. And the truth is—it’s not that I don’t have thoughts or care deeply. It’s that I care equally about understanding both sides.

I look at people not as categories, but as souls.

🧳 The Quiet Role of the Peacemakers

Maybe some of us were born to stand in the middle. Not because we lack conviction, but because we hold compassion for many perspectives at once.

Maybe we are here to listen when others shout, to ask questions when others accuse, to help interpret when tempers flare.

We are not more righteous than those with fierce opinions. Those who fight hard for their causes—they change the world. They push boundaries. They demand better.

But those who stand in the center have their own role.
